Duties

Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
Two (2) years’ experience in manual labor maintenance and construction work is desired.
Must be able to operate mowers, tractors, trucks, and a variety of other hand tools and equipment (power and manual) used in construction, grounds and right-of-way maintenance type work.
Must have a valid Driver’s License.
Must have and maintain a minimum class B CDL license w/ air brakes endorsement or be able to obtain one within the first six (6) months of employment (stipulation).

A comparable amount of training or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications. Occasionally: - Lift/Carry: 50+ lbs., Push/Pull: 40+ lbs., Squat/Kneel, Climb, Crawl, Sit, Work at Heights, Traverse Uneven Terrain.
Frequently: - Lift/Carry: 25-50 lbs., Push/Pull: 25-40 lbs., Bend, Reach Above Shoulder, Reach Outward, Drive.
Constantly: Lift/Carry 25 lbs. or less, Push/Pull: 25 lbs. or less, Twist/Turn, Stand, Walk, Handling/ Fine Motor Skills.

Risk/Safety Conditions:

This position requires moderate exposure or risk to physical health and/or physical safety (i.e. exposure to environmentally hazardous material, heavy equipment).
This position often requires the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and may include completing and successfully passing medical evaluations or clearances.
