Utilities Service Worker I

Duties

• High school diploma or GED.
• (1) year of experience in construction, operation, repair, maintenance, City water, wastewater, streets, meters, and storm drainage systems, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training and/or experience.
• Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one year of employment.
• Must possess or obtain within six (6) months of hire, a valid State of Florida Class B Commercial Driver License (CDL) and maintain the ability to drive a city owned vehicle per established policies, procedures, and safety guidelines and maintain satisfactory driving record throughout employment.

• Within one (1) year of hire, must participate in Trench & Confined Safety Training.

In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential functions established to perform this job successfully.
