Facilities Maintenance Superintendent

Duties

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Public Administration, or a closely related field is required.

• Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, public works, or a related field, including at least three (3) years of supervisory experience.
• Thorough knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, building maintenance, custodial operations, warehouse management, sanitation operations, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Experience administering Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), inventory management systems, and computerized work order systems.
• Knowledge of contract administration, procurement and purchasing procedures, budgeting, project management, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical specifications, construction plans, engineering drawings, and applicable codes and regulations.
• Proficient in the use of computers and standard business software, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Possess and maintain National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification at the level required for the position or obtain the required certification within one (1) year of employment.
• Must have a valid Florida driver's license with satisfactory driving record throughout employment.
